Dr. Qian Song is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Gerontology and Fellow of the Gerontology Institute at the University of Massachusetts Boston. She is a a demographer and sociologist and her work lies at the intersection of migration, families, early-life determinants, and later-life health outcomes. Focusing on social forces as a fundamental cause of health inequities, her scholarship is defined by two major themes: (1) The intersection of family and migration for health outcomes; and (2) Migration, citizenship and health disparities in later life.
